A German software company had a barren wall in their conference room they wanted filled with industrial shelving sturdy enough to hold their heavy books, yet aesthetically pleasing enough to add to the atmosphere.
Each shelf was designed with “built-in” bookends on each end, and I went with aromatic cedar partially because I had just found some great cedar, and partially because I thought it would add to the interesting ambiance of the room — notice the live-edge conference table?
I added some interesting elements like the faucet and red-handled valve, and they wanted three custom gauges that reflected their business.
